About me

I have over 20 years experience within the fitness industry with many years of personal fitness experience prior to that.   In becoming  a Buyteko Breathing Practitioner in 2021 & then also an Advanced Oxygen Advantage Instructor in 2022, I've shifted how I teach to increase my focus on breath and how our breathing patterns affect our health.

 

I became interested in Pilates due to its reputation for core strengthening and injury prevention and went on to qualify as a Level 3 Pilates Instructor through The Energywise Academy. This qualification is recognised by the industry standard The Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS).  

I am passionate believer in the power of Pilates to help transform both your body and your mind.  My holistic approach is based on the concept that in order to be our best self we need to nurture, listen and respond to the messages coming from our body.  Pilates realigns us with our deep core muscles and resets the connections between body and mind. In doing so it improves our balance, flexibility, strength and posture thus generally improving our mind-set and generating a feeling of wellbeing.

As I'm a keen runner and cyclist I decided to further my qualifications by becoming a Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) program which is also recognised by REPS at Level 3. I feel Pilates complements other aerobic activities brilliantly, allowing you to continue doing what you love while staying injury free.   

I live in the Aberfeldy area where I teach nline & in person Pilates and Breathwork classes and individul sessions.
